A commitment to children
Dr. Glat has the experience and expertise to handle delicate reconstructive surgery on children. He gained this experience from a craniofacial surgery fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children staff to lead the Plastic Surgery Division.
Since 1998, Dr. Glat has been the Chief of Plastic Surgery and the Director of the Burn Unit at St. Christopher’s Hospital, where he has attended to the care of more than 3,000 children with burn injuries. As an internationally renowned wound and burn care expert, Dr. Glat has had extensive research opportunities, is well-published in the field, and has been asked on numerous occasions to speak on topics related to burn care, reconstructive surgery, and more. He is the coordinator for the annual John A Boswick Burn and Wound Care Symposium in Maui, Hawaii.
