As a native of Philadelphia, Dr. Morgenstern has dedicated the past twenty years to serving the greater Philadelphia community. He graduated from Lower Merion High School and earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University, where he actively participated in scientific research at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He then returned to Philadelphia to pursue his medical education, obtaining his MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University.

Dr. Morgenstern was awarded a categorical surgery position and was designated for chief residency at MCP/Hahnemann University. During his residency, he received the Resident of the Year and Humanitarian Award from the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Then, he furthered his training in ophthalmology at West Virginia University, where he again was awarded the position of Chief Resident.

Subsequently, Dr. Morgenstern completed a fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery at Ohio State University, extensive medical training in craniofacial surgery at the Children's Hospital of Columbus, and facial cosmetic surgery training at the Center for Facial Rejuvenation.
