Take the first step in changing your life for the better, by scheduling a private consultation with Dr. Ken Morgenstern, a leading Philadelphia plastic surgeon.
Our skin loses elasticity as we age, which causes classic aging signs, such as wrinkles. Fortunately, advanced treatments now exist to help you soften those signs of aging and give you a revitalized, vibrant look. Dr. Morgenstern, MD, FACS wants his patients to look and feel their best. To do so, he proudly offers all of his patients in Philadelphia and South Jersey state-of-the-art facial contouring using the Precision TX™ laser procedure.
Why Does Skin Age?
We all practice a variety of rituals in our quest to keep our skin looking young. However, it doesn’t matter how often you moisturize, stay hydrated, or wear sunscreen. Eventually, the skin does start to show the effects of age.
There are several factors that contribute to aging skin. These factors can be external ones, such as sunlight and smoking, or internal ones caused by biological changes. The biggest factor behind aging skin is the body’s gradual slowdown of collagen production.
Collagen is a protein that makes up 70 percent of your dermis and gives the skin its thickness and elasticity. When your body produces less collagen, your start developing wrinkles, and your skin becomes thinner and may start sagging.
What is Precision TX™?
Precision TX™ is an advanced, minimally-invasive technique that helps stimulate collagen production to give your face a more youthful appearance. This highly-effective technique is sometimes called an “instant facelift”, thanks to how quick it is (about an hour), its high success rate, and because it doesn’t require surgery. Precision TX™ is best suited for the lower half of the face, including the jaw, chin, cheeks, and neck.
Benefits of Precision TX™
The benefits of this highly effective laser technology include:
- Minimal discomfort
- Minimal scarring
- No stitches
- Quick recovery time
- Use of a local anesthetic instead of a general anesthetic that other cosmetic procedures typically require
The best benefit of the Precision TX™, however, is your revitalized appearance and the self-confidence that comes with it. After a Precision TX™ treatment with Dr. Morgenstern, you will not only look younger, but you’ll feel younger, too!
How does the Precision TX™ work?
In a Precision TX™ treatment, a very small tube, about the size of a pen tip, is inserted into the dermal layer of the skin. Laser energy is then applied to the lower area of the face and neck. The heat from the laser causes the dermal and epidermal layers, as well as the underlying tissue, to tighten. Over the next three to six months, new collagen will develop.
How long does the procedure take to perform?
A typical Precision TX™ procedure takes approximately one hour. It may be performed in conjunction with SmartLipo® of the neck area.
How many Precision TX™ treatments are necessary to realize desired results?
Precision TX™ is a one-time treatment. Patients can see some results immediately following treatment, but it takes three to six months, when the new collagen develops, to see the full results.
Precision TX™ Treatment Costs in Philadelphia, PA, and South Jersey
Dr. Morgenstern and his staff look forward to working with you to develop plastic surgery goals that help you look and feel your best. Costs associated with Precision TX™ treatment vary by patient, and we offer CareCredit® as a financing option. Also, check our Current Specials.
Who is a good candidate for Precision TX™?
If you have mild to moderate fatty skin laxity or loose skin in the lower face, neck and jowls, then you are a great candidate for Precision TX™. Healthy patients who have a realistic expectation about what Precision TX™ can and cannot do will be most satisfied with their results.
How long is recovery from Precision TX™? Is there any scarring?
Precision TX™ is a minimally invasive procedure. Recovery is a lot faster than it is with a traditional facelift or neck lift. For the first 48 hours after your procedure, you’ll need to wear a facial compression garment, but most patients return to their normal activities within one or two days. Three tiny incision areas are made near the ears and underneath the chin, but they heal completely with little to no scarring.
You may have some swelling and soreness after the procedure, but will be able to see a noticeable difference in your skin almost immediately. However, you won’t notice the full results of Precision TX™ until a few months after treatment, when you will see reduced lines and wrinkles, greater skin firmness and elasticity, and decreased fat in the neck and chin.
